For the U.S. legal and CPA sectors alone, that represents a combined $32 billion in potential annual impact.

But most of that value is being left on the table.

The EY 2025 Work Reimagined Survey—spanning 15,000 employees and 1,500 employers across 29 countries—found that while 88% of employees use AI at work daily, only 5% use it in advanced ways that actually transform how they work. The other 83% are stuck in what we might call "AI limbo": they have the tools, they use them regularly, but they're doing little more than glorified search queries and document summaries.

Even more revealing: 64% of employees report increased workloads despite AI adoption. The technology that was supposed to free up their time is, for most professionals, adding complexity without delivering proportional value.
